Rudbeckia triloba, also known as the browneyed or brown-eyed susan, thin-leaved coneflower, or three-leaved coneflower, is a widespread species of flowering plant in the Asteraceae family. Its yellow, daisy-like flowers are often found in old fields or along roads. Rudbeckia triloba produces a rosette of green leaves in the first year and in the second year, it sprouts bushy, upright stems filled with numerous golden daisies with brown eyes. This self-seeding biennial is perfect for naturalizing. Seedlings can be easily relocated in autumn or early spring. Regularly removing spent flowers will promote extended blooming. Butterflies are attracted to this plant and it is also great for cutting.
